Viral vs Bacterial Infections

Bacterial and viral infections have many things in common. Bacterial and viral infections can cause similar symptoms such as coughing and sneezing, fever, inflammation, vomiting, diarrhea, fatigue, and cramping. All of which are ways the immune system tries to rid the body of infectious organisms.

Viral infections are much harder to treat allopathically. Bacterial infections are typically treated with antibiotics and resolve after a few days to weeks, whereas viruses remain in the body and become dormant until the immune system is compromised whereby the virus can reactivate.

Your immune system is your body’s defense against infections. A compromised immune system makes you more susceptible to infections, it is vital to always support your immune system.

WAYS TO BOOST YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM

1. Your immune cells are created in the GUT, support your GUT to boost your immunity. You can support your GUT with prebiotic foods, probiotics and my favorite Rawbiotics. *Rawbiotics is a probiotic combined with herbs to support your digestive tract and immune system.

2. Immune supporting herbs that are high in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.

  • Elderberry
  • Olive leaf
  • Goldenseal
  • Echinacea
  • Ginger
  • Reishi
  • Aashwagandha etc.

There are many excellent herbs to support the immune system and function.

3. Biopuncture Therapy – Immune booster injection

Homeopathic preparations are injected to boost the immune system, a combination of Gripp heel and Echinacea ampules are used to support the immune system. Immune booster shots can be used to treat influenza symptoms or as a prophylaxis (prevention) against the Influenza virus or other infections.
